Coast of Maine Cobscook Blend Garden Soil is a richly textured all-purpose gardening soil. It is made with a blend of salmon and blueberry compost, aged bark, sphagnum peat moss and horticultural limestone. It requires less frequent watering, making it great for conditioning lean or sandy soils and loosening up compacted and clay soils. Schoodic Blend is a dark, rich soil made from carefully composted cow manure and peat humus. The cow manure for the Schoodic Blend, that is composted in Maine, comes from Pineland Farms Natural Meats  in Aroostook County Maine. Their beef herd is raised without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. The composted manure is combined with aged peat humus, a unique carbon source that is rich in organic material, lignins and tannins. The result is a naturally light-weight, easy-to-use soil. Fundy Blend is the ideal top-dressing for roses and perennials. We combine some of our limited supply of very old, humified birch and maple bark with partially humified hemlock bark and a very rich compost made of kelp solids and sphagnum moss peat. Cobscook Blend is a richly textured all-purpose gardening soil. Because it is made with compost, it gives you the benefit of requiring less frequent watering and feeding.
